What is intent data?

A clue that someone may be planning a project.

“Intent” means interest in doing something. Intent data uses available research signals to suggest which types of projects people may be considering. For your business, it helps focus marketing on a relevant audience in your service area.

You don’t need to buy a list and figure out what to do next. HD reviews the audience, prepares your message, coordinates outreach, and connects homeowners to a quote or inquiry page.

Picture a homeowner considering cabinet-focused updates.

They may be comparing options, reading about the project, or looking for a contractor. Relevant signals can suggest interest in that kind of work.

After an audience and service-area review, an approved campaign can introduce your business with a postcard and a simple way to request a quote.

Illustrative example. We do not see each person’s exact search history, identify everyone researching, or know for certain who will buy.

An audience is a starting point. An inquiry is a response.

People in an intent audience have not necessarily contacted your company. The campaign helps them take that next step. Your team then confirms fit and follows up.

Know whether they mean new cabinets or a whole new layout.

Kitchen inquiries can range from a cabinet-focused update to a renovation involving the entire room. A clear message and a short project brief help your team begin the right conversation without forcing a homeowner to settle every design decision first.

Cabinet-focused updates

Introduce cabinet work your company actually offers and distinguish it from a complete kitchen remodel.

Broader kitchen renovations

Invite homeowners to describe combined changes to finishes, storage, work surfaces, or other parts of their kitchen.

Full remodels with layout changes

Give larger projects a distinct path, with design, structure, plumbing, and electrical needs assessed by the appropriate professionals.

Keep the audience focused. Keep renovation interest separate from shopping for appliances, cookware, inexpensive accessories, and DIY supplies that do not indicate a contractor-led kitchen project.

How your kitchen remodeling campaign works.

HD manages audience selection, setup, creative, coordinated outreach, and measurement. Your team owns the homeowner conversation and final project assessment.

  1. 01

A kitchen change is being explored

Research about a remodel may indicate possible project interest, without establishing the desired scope or budget.

  2. 02

    Review the renovation audience

We review available coverage and the cabinet-update, renovation, or full-remodel work your company wants to discuss.

  3. 03

    Introduce the right remodel offer

Approved creative speaks to the selected scope and invites a project inquiry through a tracked QR link.

  4. 04

    Share the kitchen plan

The included page asks about renovation type, possible layout changes, timing, and optional budget expectations, along with location and contact details.

  5. 05

    Discuss design and project scope

Your team follows up to clarify goals, existing conditions, design needs, and the consultation required before a proposal.

  6. 06

    Measure project conversations

Review attributable inquiries with the project categories and follow-up outcomes your team records, rather than assuming every response is a full remodel.

An included page that starts the kitchen conversation.

Your campaign includes a clear next step for homeowners: an existing instant-quote experience where supported, or a contractor-branded lead-generation landing page included with your service.

  • Distinct cabinet-update, renovation, and full-remodel choices
  • Short project questions with optional budget context
  • Your branding and actual supplied kitchen project photos
  • Approved inquiry routing and campaign attribution

Start with the right questions.

A useful inquiry helps your team understand the project before the first call. Keep the homeowner’s first step simple.

  • Whether layout changes are being considered
  • Desired project timing
  • Optional budget expectations

What your team does next

Clarify the desired scope and arrange the right consultation. Design choices, existing conditions, structural changes, plumbing, electrical work, and material selections need review before a firm proposal. An early inquiry need not contain a finished design.

Campaign inquiries go to your approved destination. The campaign review form below goes to HD Precision and is for contractors.

A different QR link.
A clearer connection.

A variable QR code is a unique link printed on each recipient’s mailer. The postcard design can stay the same while the link changes from piece to piece.

When someone scans it, the visit can be connected to that mailer. A completed inquiry can then be connected to the same campaign.

A scan identifies a mailed link, not necessarily the person using it. Shared mailers and untracked responses affect attribution. A scan alone does not prove a sale.

Illustrative tracking sequence

Your message can travel together.

Direct mail introduces the project. Optional Meta ads and eligible email outreach can reinforce the same message and point to the same quote or inquiry page.

Meta management · $350/month

Use the same source audience on Facebook and Instagram. Matching and ad delivery vary; not every mailed household will match or see an ad. Advertising spend is additional.

Email campaign · $150/month

Use eligible email contacts from the same source audience, with appropriate permissions and unsubscribe handling. Having an email address alone does not establish permission to send.

They visited.
Keep the conversation going.

Someone can explore your website and leave without filling out a form. Website Visitor Retargeting helps you build follow-up audiences from eligible visits.

A tracking pixel is a small piece of code added to your site. It helps register visits. With visitor matching, some visits can be connected to available contact or household information—even when the visitor does not submit a form.

Optional add-on: $350/month

One visit can lead to another opportunity to be seen.

  • Mailers: follow up when an eligible postal address can be matched.
  • Meta ads: build an audience for Facebook and Instagram, subject to platform matching and delivery.
  • Email: follow up with eligible matched contacts when appropriate permissions are in place.

Some visitors cannot be matched. We review your website setup, available data, privacy choices, and channel eligibility before activation. A matched email address alone does not establish permission to send.

The $350 monthly option is separate from mailer costs, Meta management and ad spend, and the optional email campaign. No tracking is installed or outreach started by this inquiry.

Kitchen Remodeling campaign questions.

Can we focus on full remodels instead of cabinet-only work?

Yes. The campaign can explain the scope you take on, subject to audience availability. The inquiry page can ask about layout changes and the broader renovation so your team understands the homeowner's expectations.

What if the homeowner has ideas but no completed design?

That is a reasonable starting point for a project inquiry. A short description, possible layout changes, and timing give your team context for a consultation without requiring a finished plan.

Will appliance shoppers count as kitchen remodeling interest?

The campaign brief should distinguish contractor-led renovation from appliance, cookware, and accessory shopping. Audience review sets the relevant focus; an interest signal still does not guarantee a remodeling project.

Must we publish a minimum project budget?

No minimum is invented for the campaign. Any contractor-specific project requirements must come from your approved service information. Budget expectations can be optional context for the initial inquiry.

What is the website tracking pixel option?

Website Visitor Retargeting is an optional $350/month add-on, separate from Meta management. A small tracking tag on your site helps register eligible visits. Visitor matching can connect some visits to contact or household information, even without a form submission. Available matches can support mail, Meta and eligible email follow-up. Matching is not guaranteed, and setup, permissions and channel eligibility must be reviewed. Mailers, Meta management and ad spend, and email campaign fees remain separate.

Do I need an instant-quote tool?

No. Where a supported instant-quote experience already exists, we can use it. Otherwise, your managed campaign includes a contractor-branded landing page that helps homeowners request an estimate or consultation.

Is the landing page included?

Yes. For campaigns without an existing supported instant-quote experience, a contractor-branded lead-generation landing page is included with the managed service. It is a focused campaign destination; it does not include a full business website, unlimited revisions, or custom estimating software.
