What is intent data?

A clue that someone may be planning a project.

“Intent” means interest in doing something. Intent data uses available research signals to suggest which types of projects people may be considering. For your business, it helps focus marketing on a relevant audience in your service area.

You don’t need to buy a list and figure out what to do next. HD reviews the audience, prepares your message, coordinates outreach, and connects homeowners to a quote or inquiry page.

Picture a homeowner considering replacement windows.

They may be comparing options, reading about the project, or looking for a contractor. Relevant signals can suggest interest in that kind of work.

After an audience and service-area review, an approved campaign can introduce your business with a postcard and a simple way to request a quote.

Illustrative example. We do not see each person’s exact search history, identify everyone researching, or know for certain who will buy.

An audience is a starting point. An inquiry is a response.

People in an intent audience have not necessarily contacted your company. The campaign helps them take that next step. Your team then confirms fit and follows up.

Start with the opening they want to change.

A whole-home window project is different from a new entry door or sliding door. A clear campaign helps homeowners recognize your offering and share the product type, approximate quantity, and priorities before a consultation.

Replacement windows

Invite inquiries about one area of the home or a broader replacement project, with quantities and product choices confirmed later.

Entry doors

Introduce the entry-door replacement options your company offers without assuming dimensions or installation requirements.

Sliding doors

Connect patio-door interest to a consultation about the existing opening, preferences, and contractor-supported products.

Keep the audience focused. Exclude garage-door repair, DIY window parts, unrelated glazing procurement, and product claims that do not match your offerings. Impact-product messaging is used only for applicable markets and contractor services.

How your windows & doors campaign works.

HD manages audience selection, setup, creative, coordinated outreach, and measurement. Your team owns the homeowner conversation and final project assessment.

  1. 01

    Replacement research begins

Interest in new windows or doors can indicate a homeowner is exploring a project, without proving a purchase decision.

  2. 02

    Review the product audience

We review the available market and align the campaign with the window or door categories your company actually supplies and installs.

  3. 03

    Introduce your replacement service

Approved creative explains the selected offering and points homeowners to a consultation request through a tracked QR link.

  4. 04

    Request a product consultation

The included page collects product type, approximate count, priorities, and contact information, with no invented pricing or savings claims.

  5. 05

    Confirm openings and options

Your team discusses the project and arranges the measurements and product review needed for an accurate proposal.

  6. 06

    Review attributable inquiries

Track visits and submitted consultations, then connect them with contractor follow-up and project outcomes where recorded.

An included page for replacement consultations.

Your campaign includes a clear next step for homeowners: an existing instant-quote experience where supported, or a contractor-branded lead-generation landing page included with your service.

Your branded campaign page helps homeowners identify the products they are considering and request a consultation. The form stays short and connects to the approved lead destination without promising an instant installed price.

  • Product-specific copy for the services you offer
  • A short form for approximate quantity and project priorities
  • Your approved contact options and service area
  • Attribution for campaign visits and consultation inquiries

Your included campaign page

  • Your contractor branding and relevant project messaging
  • A mobile-friendly page with an estimate or consultation call to action
  • A short homeowner form and approved contact options
  • Your verified service area
  • Actual contractor photos and trust details when supplied

  • A mobile-friendly page with an estimate or consultation call to action
  • A short homeowner form and approved contact options

Request a replacement consultation

Your business name and approved project messaging

  1. Show the service. Actual contractor photos and supplied trust details.
  2. Ask what matters. Windows, entry doors, or sliding doors · Approximate number of openings · Homeowner priorities and product preferences
  3. Connect the inquiry. Route it to your approved lead destination.

Final scope and pricing come from your contractor. The example is an outline, so it does not collect homeowner information.

Start with the right questions.

A useful inquiry helps your team understand the project before the first call. Keep the homeowner’s first step simple.

  • Windows, entry doors, or sliding doors
  • Approximate number of openings
  • Homeowner priorities and product preferences
  • Timing and service location
  • Contact information for a consultation

What your team does next

Confirm the openings, measurements, product requirements, installation conditions, and the homeowner's priorities. Applicable codes and product suitability require contractor review. Do not treat an inquiry as a verified rebate, financing, or energy-savings qualification.

Campaign inquiries go to your approved destination. The campaign review form below goes to HD Precision and is for contractors.

A different QR link.
A clearer connection.

A variable QR code is a unique link printed on each recipient’s mailer. The postcard design can stay the same while the link changes from piece to piece.

When someone scans it, the visit can be connected to that mailer. A completed inquiry can then be connected to the same campaign.

A scan identifies a mailed link, not necessarily the person using it. Shared mailers and untracked responses affect attribution. A scan alone does not prove a sale.

Your message can travel together.

Direct mail introduces the project. Optional Meta ads and eligible email outreach can reinforce the same message and point to the same quote or inquiry page.

Meta management · $350/month

Use the same source audience on Facebook and Instagram. Matching and ad delivery vary; not every mailed household will match or see an ad. Advertising spend is additional.

Email campaign · $150/month

Use eligible email contacts from the same source audience, with appropriate permissions and unsubscribe handling. Having an email address alone does not establish permission to send.

They visited.
Keep the conversation going.

Someone can explore your website and leave without filling out a form. Website Visitor Retargeting helps you build follow-up audiences from eligible visits.

A tracking pixel is a small piece of code added to your site. It helps register visits. With visitor matching, some visits can be connected to available contact or household information—even when the visitor does not submit a form.

Optional add-on: $350/month

One visit can lead to another opportunity to be seen.

  • Mailers: follow up when an eligible postal address can be matched.
  • Meta ads: build an audience for Facebook and Instagram, subject to platform matching and delivery.
  • Email: follow up with eligible matched contacts when appropriate permissions are in place.

Some visitors cannot be matched. We review your website setup, available data, privacy choices, and channel eligibility before activation. A matched email address alone does not establish permission to send.

The $350 monthly option is separate from mailer costs, Meta management and ad spend, and the optional email campaign. No tracking is installed or outreach started by this inquiry.

Windows & Doors campaign questions.

Can we advertise impact windows?

Yes, only when they are part of your offering and appropriate for the reviewed market. Product and code-related claims must be verified for the campaign; they are not assumed for every contractor or location.

Can the page cover windows and doors together?

Yes. The homeowner can choose the relevant product type so your team knows whether the inquiry is about replacement windows, an entry door, or a sliding door. Garage-door repair is a separate service.

Will the campaign quote prices or energy savings?

The default page invites a consultation. It does not invent installed prices, rebates, savings, or financing offers. Any specific claim or offer needs verified contractor information before it appears.

What is the website tracking pixel option?

Website Visitor Retargeting is an optional $350/month add-on, separate from Meta management. A small tracking tag on your site helps register eligible visits. Visitor matching can connect some visits to contact or household information, even without a form submission. Available matches can support mail, Meta and eligible email follow-up. Matching is not guaranteed, and setup, permissions and channel eligibility must be reviewed. Mailers, Meta management and ad spend, and email campaign fees remain separate.

Do I need an instant-quote tool?

No. Where a supported instant-quote experience already exists, we can use it. Otherwise, your managed campaign includes a contractor-branded landing page that helps homeowners request an estimate or consultation.

Is the landing page included?

Yes. For campaigns without an existing supported instant-quote experience, a contractor-branded lead-generation landing page is included with the managed service. It is a focused campaign destination; it does not include a full business website, unlimited revisions, or custom estimating software.
